Job scope

  • Keep abreast of current merchandise trend on customer needs and wants as well as competitor performance on each category of products. 
  • Sourcing of best quality merchandises locally and overseas at the best price to ensure best profit margin gains. 
  • Yearly Promotion / Monthly Promotion / Weekly Promotion planning based on customer behavior. 
  • Controlling of Price Alteration, monitoring of stock turnover level. 
  • Decide on merchandise layout, Schematic Plan and display of store. 
  • Competitor survey on merchandises, assortment, pricing, layout display and promotion activities. 
  • Frequent review, evaluate, decide and select new supplier-including visits to manufacturers, credit term, rebates, contribution and joint promotion.

Skills required

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma,Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, 
  • Professional Degree, Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent. 
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. 
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply for Assistant Merchandiser position.
  • Applicants must be able to work under pressure and willing to travel (posses own transport) 
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Taman Maluri, Cheras, KL. 
  • Possess good communication skills in English, Bahasa Melayu. Ability to speak Chinese language is an added advantage.
