Engineering
Engineers are – more or less – the inventors of the world! You apply your knowledge of scientific principles, mathematics and practical experience to design useful objects or processes to meet mankind’s needs.
To practise as an engineer, graduates must be registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). To achieve professional engineer status (which carries the title Ir), graduates need to sit for and pass professional exams.
As an engineer, you cannot get things done alone. Good leadership skills are vital, as you will need to motivate, coach and orchestrate proceedings in all projects. Having leadership skills and a love for the environment will give you a head start in this career.
