Who We Are

Located strategically in Malaysia, BASF Shared Services Centre Kuala Lumpur (BSSCKL) is part of BASF's global network of shared services organizations providing functional services to the BASF Group companies in Asia Pacific. Established in 2005, we support the strategic objectives of the region to streamline processes and reduce the cost of support functions in the areas of HR, Environment, Health & Safety, Procurement, Finance, Controlling, Information Services and Import-Export Order Management. Even today, we continue to play a key role in the 2025 Asia Pacific strategy of achieving Operational Excellence by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of functional service delivery. We provide services to BASF companies in 16 countries across the Asia Pacific region. As of Jan 2019, there are over 700 employees at BSSCKL. Although the majority of employees are Malaysians, the diverse team also comprises of individuals from around the world including Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, India, and Vietnam.
