Who We Are
"DASEIN" ('da:za-in), a connotation derived from German philosophy, has timelessly inspired philosophers, artists, writers, and creative thinkers alike to discover and redefine one's true being and existence. With that ideal in mind, Dasein Academy of Art was established in 1996 by a team of avid educators and professionals from art and design industry. Aspired to revive the role of a future generation dedicated to the creative and cultural development for personal enrichment was formed.
Driven by this ingenuity, Dasein Academy believes that creative education is more than just merely a skill or job-market-oriented curriculum. After all, it is through the path of creative thinking and aesthetic learning that one discovers the beauty of one’s existence; and that is a fulfillment of a lifetime.
Facilities
Dasein Academy of Art provides facilities that help enhancing the academic experience of students such as Fine Art Room, Printmaking Room, Shooting Studio, Audio Room, Art Gallery, Computer Lab, Common Area and etc. These inspirational spaces stimulate the creativity and imagination to foster idea exploration.

Located in a greenery side of Kuala Lumpur, Dasein Academy is surrounded by a pleasant environment with hilly landscape where nature and city coexist in harmony being away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the accessible amenities create an ideal environment for academic living. Dasein Academy of Art is located and well connected to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre and students can have easy access to public transport (buses, taxis, LRT), shopping malls (Wangsa Walk, AEON Big, Pavillion etc), food, banking and health services.
The maza-like interior structure of Dasein Academy features the style of Brutalism architecture, which projects a raw ambience of creative freedom for the curious minds to explore endless possibilities; transforming original ideas into artistic expressions.
