In Malaysia the company started Resorts World Genting in 1965 and has since grown the property from one hotel to currently six and one of the biggest hotels in the world, First World Hotel, that has over 7300 rooms. Our premium brand of hotels include Crockfords, Genting Grand and Maxims. All in all the Resort has about 10,000 hotel rooms, over 60 food and beverage venues, a golf courses, and numerous other attractions on-site to serve over 20 million customers annually.
With 50 years of history, Resorts World Genting is currently expanding and transforming itself into a new era of entertainment through the Genting Integrated Resort Transformation Plan. The highlights of this development include the world’s first Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park that spans over 26 acres of land at the Resort. The new theme park features unique and creative concepts of entertainment where soon, visitors can enjoy more than 25 rides and attractions of a cinematic nature with leisure facilities based on blockbuster movies such as Rio, Ice Age, Aliens vs Predators, Planet of the Apes and Night at the Museum. Adjacent to this site is also the brand new shopping experience, the Sky Avenue & Sky Plaza, that will also house a brand new cable system and station. The state of the art new cable system can take over 3600 people per way per hour that connects Sky Avenue to the mid hill Genting Premium Outlet. All these new fascinating entertainment and shopping experience are expected to begin opening in 2016.
