Internship PR & Communication
Genting Malaysia Berhad (GENM) Internship Programme provides opportunities for students to apply academic learning to real-world experience. Through this experience, students will have the opportunity to develop workplace aptitude, as well as to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to their chosen career path. GENM Internship Programme also provides students with focused and structured learning, giving them hands-on experience in handling projects, decision-making, meeting timelines, and working with personnel of various levels across departments. The PR & Communications department is divided into three areas, namely Public Relations, Communications and Media Relations. The core function of the department is to strive to project a positive image of the organization. Among its responsibilities include involvement in community and corporate event management; maintaining special liaison with government officials, embassies and official visitors to the resort; handling incidents and crisis management; planning publicity events and press invitations; preparing press releases; publication of ‘Xperience Genting’ magazine; resort-wide content management; handling social media and responding to customer feedback, among others.
There are three stages in our selection process where qualified applicants will be assessed for their potential to be part of our GENM Internship Programme.
- CGPA is 2.5 (Diploma Holder) or 3.0 (Degree Holder) & above
- Internship duration minimum 8 weeks (Diploma Holder) or 10 weeks (Degree Holder)
- Open to Malaysian students only
- Students from local universities/colleges
- At least 18 years old
- Have strong oral & written communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia
- Proactive & able to adapt to changes quickly
