Hong Leong Manufacturing Group Sdn Bhd ("HLMG") was incorporated in Malaysia to consolidate the Malaysian manufacturing activities of Hong Leong Group. Consequently, HLMG became the investment holding company of the following four (4) Malaysian public listed companies ("PLCs"):
- Hong Leong Industries Berhad ("HLI");
- Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad ("MPI");
- Southern Steel Berhad ("SSB"); and
- Hume Industries Berhad.
