Desktop Support Engineer & Desktop Support Engineer (24/7)

Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support for desktop and laptop, as well as basic troubleshooting of IT infrastructure related support. This position provides support requirements based at customer site. It includes installation, repair, servicing, liaising and maintenance of solutions in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure achievement of customer satisfaction and service operation.

Job Responsibilities:-

  • Responsible for providing IT infrastructure related on-site support
  • Provide first level on-site support through the helpdesk system and coordinate with higher level support team in problem solving
  • Manage customer expectations and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with Basic MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Basic administration of Active Directory and File Sharing
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned

Requirements

  • Diploma in IT Technology or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in related field
  • Experience in setting up Desktop/Laptop, Imaging Software and Network Printer
  • Experience in Helpdesk support is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure related, Desktop/Laptop/Network/Wifi
  • Basic knowledge of Network, Server and Security will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Operating System is required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive with ability to work independently
  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges
  • Able to cover day / night shift as and when required (12 hours shift)
