Who We Are

Teach For Malaysia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation on a mission to empower our nation through education. We believe that a child’s education and future should not be determined by his or her circumstances in life. We want to reimagine an education approach that empowers all students to be leaders of their own learning, their future and the future of our nation. Teach For Malaysia is a part of the Teach For All global network and was established in 2012 as the first Teach For organisation in South East Asia.

Through our the Teach For Malaysia Fellowship Programme, a two-year Leadership Development Programme, passionate and high-performing young individuals will be trained and placed in high-need schools across the nation to teach underprivileged students while earning a competitive graduate salary. Since 2012, we have managed to grow a network of 474 Alumni that have impacted around 330,285 students across Malaysia. Beyond the Fellowship, our growing network of Alumni are lifelong advocates for education and expanding opportunities for students, working as a movement to build an ecosystem of solutions at all levels of society. 

We are looking for champions who share our vision, mission, and core values; Sense of Possibility, Excellence, Collaboration, and Integrity, to support us in seeking out passionate and high-performing individuals to join our Fellowship Programme. These are the core values that we hold true to ourselves and are a big part of our company culture.
