How did you decide your career path?

I made the decision based on my interest in technology as well as my interest in solving problems. In the technology industry, there will always be room for enhancement which will always create the opportunity for us to take on and improve our capability to solve problems and empower ourselves with the latest skill sets. Besides, this industry will keep on expanding as we progress towards the future thus the demand for tech talents will also keep on growing.

How did you get the job?

I applied for the position when I know there was an open vacancy in the company. The hiring process was smooth and the assessment they gave was challenging but, in the end, I managed to proceed with the interview session. The interview process was quite challenging as well with plenty of technical and how-to-solve-issues questions. After that, I received the good news that I was finally hired.

What are your day to day tasks in this role?

The main three daily tasks are:

1. Production issues

There will be times that the deployed product will have issues or bugs that require fixing.

2. Feature Enhancement

New feature enhancement that needs to be developed

3. Monitoring

To ensure that the system is running as expected.

How did you adjust your lifestyle from being a student to a working adult?

At first, it was a bit hard. Waking up early was the most difficult thing when I first started working but due to my responsibilities, I gradually got used to it and finally overcame this problem. Work responsibility is the main factor that changed a lot of my student lifestyle to that of a working adult. Receiving my first paycheck was a great feeling and it will always be one of my main motivators to keep on working hard as an adult.
