To conduct prior arts of IP or new invention searching.

Responsibilities

  • To conduct prior arts of IP or new invention searching.

  • To study, summarize and compile for IP search and patent watch outcomes.

  • To liaise and/or follow up with IP agents, inventor(s), TG legal team and other related parties throughout the patent filing process.

  • To prepare, review and comment on the IPs (e.g. novelty search, draft patent, IP proposal, summary of invention, office action, etc.), universities or 3rd parties (e.g. agreement) related documents.

  • To arrange meeting or discussion with IP agent and inventor(s) before new IP filing.

  • To book meeting room and send meeting invitation.

  • To check the Statement of Account sent by IP agents and arrange for payment release.

  • To arrange TG representatives, inventor, universities, suppliers, customers or 3rd parties to sign off the documents related to IP, research collaboration project, agreement, etc.

  • To update the master list of IP and universities collaboration from time to time.

  • To assume and oversee ad-hoc assignments as required.

  • To do documents filing and safekeeping.

  • To ensure the documents are processed and handled in a timely and efficient manner 

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Science or IP law or equivalent.

  • CGPA should be 3.00 and above.

  • Willing to work in Klang.

  • Preferably junior executive and female.

  • Knowledge and experience in IP handling or registration is preferable.

  • Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu (spoken and written).

  • Computer literacy with good interpersonal skills.

  • Pleasant personality, matured and able to work under minimum supervision.

  • Results oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills.

  • Able to work under tight deadlines and energetic team player.

  • Able to work individually and with a team as and when required.
