Job Description:

1. To ensure environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are adhered to and maintain high safety standard and a safe working environment. 
2. To coordinate and ensure all daily production activities are carried out as per schedules or plans. 
3. To lead, motivate and communicate with shift team to achieve the production goals and KPI. 
4. To ensure manpower and resources are efficiently utilized in the execution of all shift activities. 
5. To ensure SOP, WI and operational checklist are adhered to, regularly audited and updated. 
6. To generate shift and/or daily production report and perform SAP posting for daily production figures or any related stock transfer between locations as required. 
7. To ensure operating staffs are appropriately trained and assessed, and competent to fulfil their job responsibilities to the highest standards. 
8. To identify, recommend, implement and monitor optimum operating setting in the processes to maximize quality and productivity of production.  
9. To attend investigation and troubleshooting of daily production issues, and ensure any deviation or process abnormality is thoroughly investigated and actions to prevent recurrence are effectively implemented. 
10. To communicate all plant updates or related information to the shift team, and ensure the management is kept informed of all production, quality and EHS related issues. 
11. To support any plant trial or experiment to improve process, product quality, efficiency and productivity. 
12. To work closely with maintenance team for the coordination and execution of any maintenance and shutdown activities. 
13. To practice and maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in the production area at all times. 
14. To support and participate in plant inspection or audit by internal and external parties.  
15. To ensure all emergency and personal safety equipment are well maintained and ready to use at all times. To initiate plant safety inspection regularly, ensuring all concerned areas are addressed. 
16. To ensure all activities are carried out with full compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, safety management system and any other requirements as stipulated in the system, by practicing them accordingly and ensure ISO procedures are updated and adhered to by regular checks. 
17. To perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time. 
18. The scope of authority shall refer to the relevant Top Glove work process procedures/instructions. 

Work experiences: 

1. Minimum 1 year of work experience in shift or manufacturing environment. 
2. Relevant work experience in polymer synthesis and petrochemical synthesis plant would be advantageous.
